This Ain't No Ban Tik Tok Act. It's The Patriot Act on Steroids

The RESTRICT Act, a proposed piece of legislation moving through Congress which provides one way the government might "ban TikTok" instead it is a trojan horse! It contains “insanely broad” language and could lead to other apps or communications services with connections to foreign countries being banned in the U.S. This will impact many other types of services such as VPNs, Crypto Assets, or anything deemed unworthy by the Uniparty. This is going to give sweeping powers to the security state.

Do not be fooled. This Bill is about giving the executive branch total control to police the internet. It will have implications not just limited to social networks. If passed, it would have a number of negative consequences for American internet freedom. Security tools such as virtual private networks (VPNs) that consumers use to encrypt and route their traffic will become illegal and you will be subject to arrest, fine and jailtime.

Prison Time & Fines For VPN Providers and Everyday Folk Using VPN Services

The RESTRICT ACT (S 686) is a massive violation of American's 4th Amendment and First Amendment Rights. Nothing is ever as it seems. The uniparty wants more power to control what we do and see. You can be fined up to $1 million and face up to 20 years in federal prison if they decide we’re in violation of this craziness.

If this was about banning TikTok, they would pass a bill that simply bans TikTok. In fact Tik Tok is not even mentioned in the Bill. If it is found out that you're using a VPN to access a banned srervice, you can be fined up to $250,000. It gives the Uniparty control over all forms of communication domestic or abroad and grants powers to “enforce any mitigation measure to address any risk” to national security now and in any “potential future transaction”. It is the governmwents attempt to claw at the last bit of freedom you have on the internet. The Uniparty is trying to create the same system of domestic spying like they did after 9/11 for the internet but on steroids.

Instead, it's much more sinister. It allows fascist presidents to put everyday Americans in jail just for looking for ANY KIND of content that their team decides should not be online – with ZERO oversight. They're calling it Patriot Act 2.0.

If this sounds like fascist nightmare, that's because it probably is. It gives the Uniparty the ability to go after anyone they deem as a "national security risk", at which point they can access everything on that person's computer, video games, even their ring light. If you use a networked device that a million people also use, the US government will be able to access it at any time they want without notifying you. This means your Ring camera for your door, any indoor security devices with a million users, and so much more.

Why You Should Oppose This

The government would be able to decide what websites are allowed to exist, what information is allowed to be shared, and who is allowed to access the internet. This would be a major step towards a totalitarian society, where the government controls all aspects of people's lives..
• It would stifle innovation and creativity. The internet has been a driving force for innovation and creativity in recent years. The Restrict Act would stifle this innovation by making it more difficult for people to share ideas and information online..
• It would harm businesses that rely on the internet. Many businesses rely on the internet to operate. The Restrict Act would make it more difficult for these businesses to operate, which would harm the economy..
• It would violate people's privacy rights. The Restrict Act would allow the government to collect and store data on people's online browsing habits. This would violate people's right to privacy.

Crypto Services

The Restricted Act is a powerful tool that can will be used to block crypto services. With the potential collapse of the US dollar in the distant future(5-10 years), people will naturally look to crypto along with other assets like gold , silver and platinum as a means of preserving their wealth, and dwindling assets. If the RESTRICT ACT (“Tiktok ban”) passes, it will be used to attempt a ban on #bitcoin. The Act will be used to block any activity that the Uniparty considers to be a "restricted activity". If it is believed that banning crypto is necessary to "protect the country from harm", then you best believe it will be implemented.

Whatever Happened to Free Market Capitalism?

The market should decide. Corporations should not be using their influence within the United States' Government in order to gain a market advantage.

US Tech Corpoprations should have been spending money on innovation and infrastructure instead of stock buy backs. US Corporations will always fall behind their Chinese competitors because of this greed.

We must make sure that anyone who introduced or supported this horrendous bill, pay a devastating price politically. Every Senator on that list should be brought before an Ethics Committee. This will be the most fascist piece of legislation ever passed in US history. Surpassing the Patriot Act in it's invasion of our personal rights.

This is bad. It is very very very bad. You should call your Senator, Congressman, Priest, Pastor everyone immediately. And the worst part is it's being penned and pushed forward by people who were alive before color TV. If your first form of media entertainment was the transistor radio, you should not be allowed to draft legislation about the internet

This was All Supposed to Happen Under the Trump Presidency

We all remember when Trump was described as the 'Chaos Candidate'? During his Presidency the Establishment called him a Fascist and Dictator.

But President Trump resisted. And for this alone he should be commended.

While the RESTRICT Act may have been introduced with good intentions (doubtful), it poses a serious threat to American internet freedom.
