In a meeting of latin American leaders (June 6th- June 10th), that is now being labeled "Biden's Failed Summit of the Americas", the presidents of Mexico, Bolivia, Honduras, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines decided to boycott in a show of soladarity in opposition to exclude Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
Guatemala's president chose to skip the conference.
Just before the summit’s kickoff on Monday June 6th, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced he was boycotting it over Biden’s decision to exclude Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua.
This means heads of state representing Latin American countries with a total population of more than 200 million people–a significant percentage of the Americas–refused to attend Washington’s Summit of the Americas.
Yet Rowley was jumping up in the crowd, waving his trini flag and posing for pics with his massa.

What was accomplished? What was brought back to the people of Trinidad and Tobago?
What was Trinidad and Tobago doing there? What urgent need did Dr Rowley have to address at that conference? The Agenda Was thin, offering few concrete plans to improve the region’s economy and trade links
As President Biden stated "There will fundamentally be no change in his administration". So if there will be no change, why did Rowley show up and embarrass his country, instead of taking a stand for human rights? Rowley has placed the people of Trinidad and Tobago firmly put on the wrong side of history.
The United States is rapidly declining to the bottom and Trinidad has it's lips planted firmly on it's buttocks.
The United States is posing as the Arbiter of Human Rights and democracy. Its granting itself the right to dictate the future of Latin America.

Trinidad should have stood in solidarity with the people of Cuba. The Biden administration has continued the policies of the trump administration by the fraudulent inclusion of Cuba on a list of states that sponsor terrorism. Cuba... Terrorist... Really?! The Biden State department decided to exclude Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua from participation in the 9th Summit of the Americas, for the crime of simply charting their own paths.
The United States still has the same level of hostility towards cuba and the Cold War is no longer on. Joe Biden must be still living in 1922 and not 2022. He really is a relic of a cold war mentality.

In two years of sanctions 40,000 people were killed in the country of Venezuela . Seems like an acceptable statistic when reported in the main stream media. But these were 40,000 families who had their lives disrupted. Picture 40,000 bodies in your head. Can you even do it?

There is an urgent need to end the blockade of Cuba, and the hypocrisy of U.S. immigration policy as Ukrainians are welcomed but immigrants from Latin America and the Caribbean are caged.
No country knows this suffering more than the country Trinidad and Tobago. Because when Venezuelan migrants fled to our country we felt the pain.And instead of treating these people with compassion, what did we do?
