Jose Vega Says He Will Challenge AOC in 2024... but...

Fiery activist Jose Vega revealed on The Revolutionary Blackout Podcast tonight, that he will challenge AOC in 2024.

But there is a caveat. He's not going it alone. He wants one person to stand up in each of the 435 districts to stand up and run with him. As it is the only way he thinks, we can fix the corrupt system from the inside.

Mr Vega is challenging Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) as she has fell out of favor with her base. In recent months, AOC has come under fire from progressives who believe that she has sold out to the establishment and is on her way to becoming Nancy pelosi 2.0. These critics point to her support for the Biden administration's Build Back Better bill, which they say is too watered down and does not go far enough to address the needs of working people, for not witholding the progressive votes of the Squad, to force a vote for medicare for all, and supporting the war in Ukraine.

AOC is one of the most popular and well-known progressive politicians in the United States. She was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 2018, and she quickly became a leading voice for the progressive movement.

"AOC was once a symbol of hope for the progressive movement," Vega said. "But she has since sold out to the establishment. She is no longer fighting for the people, she is fighting for her own career and self serving needs."

Vega is a strong advocate for Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and tuition-free college. He is also a vocal critic of the war in Ukraine and the Biden administration's support for it.

If Vega challenges AOC in the 2024 primary, it will be a major test of the strength of the progressive movement. It will also be a test of AOC's ability to maintain her popularity among progressives.
