Haiti's Untapped Oil and Mineral Riches

“An Olympic pool size compared to a glass of water" that is to compare Haiti's oil to that of Venezuela.

Haiti sits on a pool of wealth. Yet, the country is among the world's poorest nations in the World. The land of Haiti is rich with mineral wealth, Gold, Iridium, Cobalt, Uranium etc.
Haiti is one of the undeveloped treasures of mineral wealth on the planet. Haiti also has trillions of dollars’ worth of natural gas, but the West doesn’t allow it to prosper

There are still many untapped oil reserves in many areas around the world, and Haiti is one of them.

According to a report from radio Metropole, scientists Daniel and Ginette Mathurin say that Haiti’s oil reserves are larger than those of Venezuela.

The Caribbean Plate, Cocos Plate and Nazca Plate all converge in the area that is Haiti. Because of all this tectonic activity with the earth spitting up its guts in Haiti's backyard.

The Greater Antilles, which includes Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and their offshore waters, probably hold at least 142 million barrels of oil and 159 billion cubic feet of gas, according to a 2000 report by the U.S. Geological Survey. Undiscovered amounts may be as high as 941 million barrels of oil and 1.2 trillion cubic feet of gas, according to the report.

Why Aren't Haiti's Oil Resources Being Developed?

In a paper dated March 27, 2004, Dr. Georges Michel detailed the history of oil discoveries in Haiti and explained why they have not been exploited yet. The big oil companies know about the massive reserves of oil in Haiti but in the 50s and 60s, there was almost too much oil to go around so they decided that those reserves were not needed at the time and that they would be kept in reserve until later.

Because of geo-politics, they want to keep the oil off the development market as long as possible.

The Five Families

The Haitian oligarchy called the 5 families, collude with the U.S., Canada, foreign corporations and organized crime to exploit the labor and resources of the country. These families pick “black faces” to front dictatorships that do their bidding, and kill them when they are no longer useful.

When Will Haiti Start Developing it's Oil Infrastructure?

It all depends on who controls the politics of Haiti. And this is one of the many reasons you see massive unrest inside the country politically. Keeping Haiti off the market is a political strategy because the elites do not want the country's oil riches to be transferred to the people. It is a strategic denial of the country's oil wealth.

Now that you understand the massive amounts of money at stake. You can understand why the powers that be would rather see the people on that island either suppressed... or dead.
